Samir Bahi was born in BetNahrain - Iraq, immigrated to the United States of America in 1974, became a founding member of Banipal Cultural Foundation in 1975 and its President in 1979.

Samir has been active member with his fellow artists of Banipal Foundation in preserving and perpetuating the ancient and modern Assyrian Arts and Culture in United States.
