Gewargies Nicola was born in Arbil and started singing professionally in the year 1983 in Ankawa. Most of his peers know him by the name 'Gaggi Zamara'. It was a long time dream for Gewargies to put together an album, and this dream was realised when he migrated to Australia. After settling in and finally meeting Yousip Minashi, Gewargies started working on his album in 2004, and he released it in 2006. As this was his first album, Gewargies was careful in choosing his lyrics and music as he wanted an album of great quality.
