Adam Daniel Homeh, born on May 23, 1946 in the village of Tel Nasri, located on the eastern-banks of the Khabour river, midway between the cities of Al-Hasakah and Al-Ain in Syria. He was the co-founded of the first political organization in 1958 when he was only 12 years old, and was the youngest member of the constituent Authority.
In 1963 that organization was named the (Assyrian Democratic Organization) and 15 July 1957 was recognized as the official establishment date. He began publishing his literary in Arabic, especially in the Syrian and lebanese Newspapers under the pseudonym (Abdel Horreya Ashouri) and his age had not exceeding 13.
He completed his secondary study in Al Hasakah-Syria, and graduated from Alexandria University in Egypt, from the Faculty of Literature, the department of Arabic language.
He worked as a teacher in secondary schools of Al-Hasakah Governorate in Syria. Due to his political activities he was returned from Lebanon to Syria, where he was arrested upon his arrival and imprisoned. After his release from prison, he was placed under house arrest and prevented from leaving the Syrian borders from 1977 until 1985. After many attempts, he managed to obtain an exit visa from Syria and immediately left for Australia. Adam Homeh is a poet, an author, a translator and a teacher.
